Read This If You Have a College-Aged Student in Your Life

When I worry about our nation most, it’s when I’m reading up on what’s happening on college campuses around the country.

Once upon a time, attending college meant that you were going to learn how to think critically and develop marketable skills that you could use to earn a living and also help to better the world.

Many colleges these days have switched their mission. They are producing a generation of social justice warriors. Young adults who can’t cope with the most minor of emotional discomforts. Young adults who are beginning to embrace a new form of segregation. Young adults who don’t believe freedom of speech is a good thing. And young adults who consider politically incorrect speech a form a violence… one that they can morally respond to with physical violence of their own.

As these young adults take to the work force and start running for public office… it will be interesting to see how things shake out.

If you have a young person about to go to college, I strongly urge you to read this article by Walter Williams, and then make sure you search out a campus that doesn’t cater to these trends.

Raising an adult who understands individual freedom and responsibility, who respects the Constitution and the rule of law, and who is willing to stand up for those things… that’s the most patriotic thing you can do.
