Fake “Families” Are Illegally Crossing the Border in Droves

barbwire-1765900_640I don’t know if you’ve been following the surge of immigrants coming over our Southern border illegally. But they’ve been setting records.

This year, 2016, has seen more illegal children and families enter our nation than any previous year. And border officials expect that record to broken within the first month of the New Year. One month!

It’s easy to assume the sudden surge in families coming to the country has to do with the recent and historic election of Donald Trump. That people want to get here while the border is still soft and immigration officials are likely to look the other way.

Obama’s turn-a-blind-eye immigration policies are definitely playing a role.

But these illegal immigrants are taking it one further. They’re manufacturing families to make it easier to get across our border.

Many of these “families” are gaming the system. Adults are pairing up with children they are not related to and pretending to be families. They cross the border boldly, telling heart-rending stories about what they’ve left behind for a safer, better life in the U.S. with their children. And all too often they’re given entry.

These people are using our better natures against us, skipping ahead in the immigration line by lying and appealing to our sense of compassion.

So, I ask you this… what happens when a terrorist uses this same ploy to get past border agents?

This new strategy of making up families and sob stories has been confirmed by the Department of Homeland Security. You can read more about the details here.
