On November 13 of last year, Eagles of Death Metal played to an audience of 1500 in the Bataclan in Paris.
An hour into their show, three armed men entered the theater.
They shouted “Allahu Akbar” and opened fire on the crowd. Amidst the noise and confusion, hundreds safely fled the scene. But 89 people died in the Bataclan that night.
Lead singer of EODM, Jesse Hughes, witnessed the attack. In the video below, he gives his thoughts on what happened that night and how gun control didn’t save anyone. In fact, France’s gun control laws just made people more vulnerable.
It’s difficult to watch, but worth the discomfort because of the importance of his message.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the victims of this attack and with their families.
