Texas power grid has first rotating outages since 2011

In a recent article on FuelFix.com, Ryan Holeywell explains the first rotating power outages in the state of Texas since 2011. The cause: lack of transmission lines serving the regions. While each outage ordered by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas only lasted 15 to 45 minutes in a “controlled situation,” areas in the Houston region are starting to see signs of how the power grid isnt keeping up with population demands.
