“Threat and Risk Potential” of Healthcare.gov “Limitless”

CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) admitted, in a September 3, 2013 memo “the possibility that the [Obamacare Exchange] security controls are ineffective. Ineffective controls do not appropriately protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and present a risk to the CMS enterprise.”

Signed by Tony Trenkle, the former top technology executive to CMS (he stepped down on November 15th 2013, after the failed roll-out), the memo goes on to disclose that “the threat and risk potential is limitless.”

CMS Deputy Chief Information Officer, Henry Chao, testified he never saw the memo, but you can see it here.
